I am sending you a couple of photos that I got from my mother Patricia Rufh.
For my father's memorial service I put together a slide show. I was over at my mom's going through some old photographs.
My Uncle Carl asked me to scan and send you these two pictures that I attached to this e-mail. The first one is says it all in the caption.
The second photo is my father Donald Rufh at the age of 22 in the projection room of the Met Theatre.
Keep up the great work.

Barbara Williams taken in 1957.

Is this on Third Street?
What is that in the background? Is it horse jump?
------------------------
July 28th, 2005
You are correct. That is a horse jump.
The end unit, (closest to Empire), where Barb lived was occupied by the Perras family who basically owned Third Street and rented the units out. (I think those ones are condo's today).
The Perras children, Pierre and Yvette, had horses and their father built them a corral in which they jumped them. I guess when we were kids they were the "rich" of the Park.
I think at one time they owned all the land from 3rd street to Regent between Empire and Murray. That whole area was just fields.

Bonjour Mike
Here are two pictures I received directly from the Nuns last week.
One is the same you restored of the school/church taken in 1944 - this one is in mint condition with the children out front.
The other one was taken in 1937 on Hubert Street. You can see St. Anastase Church under construction on the left side, in the back of the photo. Construction was completed in 1938. It was on Edouard, oops Churchill Boulevard.
I am too young to identify anyone, so perhaps older people can help us.
